A flat slab is defined as the RC slab without the beams in which loads are transmitted directly to the supports i.e. columns and walls. Also, the flat slabs are subjected to lateral as well as vertical loads. The flat slab directly rests on the concrete column and is transmitted to the foundation. Similarly, for supporting the heavy loads the slab’s thickness nearby the support along with the column is amplified. The deficiency of beams in the slab gives a plain ceiling, which provides a superior architectural appearance as well as less susceptibilit y than the cases in which beams are utilized. Different techniques are adopted for the design as well as investigation of the flat slabs by utilizing standard guidelines and respective cedes. In this study, the structural investigation and design of the G+ 12 building with a flat slab as well as a regular slab were accomplished. The project was initiated by performing a literature study regarding the building de...
